Car "Dealers" Recommendations
Discussion
All,
I am looking for a new(er) car for myself. I live in East Berkshire and would like recommendations for any good/reasonably honest car dealers in the area that deal in 5-10K cars. Ie the sort of car that main dealers don't have on the forecourt generally cos they are a bit old
As background I am in a Volvo S70 (1998)2.5T that I have had for 12 years so I am looking for something higher end (BMW, Lexus, Merc, Jag) with a largish engine. I want a barge with acceleration. I don't do enough mileage for a diesel (5K a year I suppose)
Saw a really nice BMW 740Li with 37K. A bit old - but it wouldn't have fitted in the garage. Also a nice VW Toureg which also may not have fitted and whilst I am not too bothered about the cost of petrol - that may be going a bit far.
But its the dealers I am looking for - any good ones in the area?

Yes, but
I am looking for inspiration at the moment rather than any specific car, I found one lot with at least a vaguely interesting collection but he only offers a 1 month warranty (SOGA not withstanding) and no method / mechanism of increasing it. Prices aren't that good either
So I am looking for a decent sized lot that I can look at and (hopefully) be inspired

Stick with your current motor I would...
I am tempted. ButLeaky Real Main Oil - not a bad leak yet
Leaky steering rack - again - not a bad leak yet
AirCon is (again) leaking. It shouldn't be the bit inside the dash - that was changed last year - so (hopefully) its leaking elsewhere
I could (and am tempted to) spend money on the current motor as I know it and its foibles well
The other thing to consider is that large engined cars cost more to tax the newer they get. The sort of age of car I am considering is OK to tax at the moment. A few years newer and they won't be - and I hate giving the gubbermint money they don't deserve
