Audi TT 3.2 suspension
Discussion
It's quite a straight forward job (I did it on my 1.8T 225).
You'll need all of the geometry checking after and the tracking.
Join and post on the following excellent forum as someone is bound to have done the very same using the same kit and likely to be able to offer helpful advise.

I am thinking of changing the suspension of my Audi TT 3.2 Mk1, 2004. Has anyone changed their car to Bilstein B12 Pro-Kit Suspension Kit With Bilstein B8 Shock Absorbers, lowering the front and rear by 25mm? Comments please.
I wouldn't do it. The front end is already at the lowest allowable ride height according to the engineering release. MK4 chassis cars were very sensitive to ride height, and lowering will ruin the steering geometry. In fact, TTs and S3s had hardware with revised mounting points on the front end to increase the roll center in order to combat bump steer and body roll that occurs with lowering. I owned a 225 TTR for 5 years and owned and ran a business dealing with parts for the MK1 TT for about 3.
You need to be more careful lowering the V6 due to the sump, also if you go much more than 25-40mm you will most likely need to fit adjustable rear tie bars which will cost you near enough £300.
You can purchase a shallower sump (about 1 inch shallower) for about £100-£150 and as mentioned a full 4 wheel alignment will be required, which will cost you £50-100 or so depending where you go.
I lowered my TTR on FK adjustable coilovers, with Forge adjustable tie bars and it looked and handled brilliantly. But with Bilstein (which I also supplied) you can't really go wrong.
The V6 is about 20mm lower than pre 2002 cars anyway so be cautious about quoted lowering amounts, as some quote it from the pre facelift ride height so 40mm would only actually be 20mm on a post facelift car car or V6.
The TT forum is a great resource and where I got most of my business from, hence having over 15000 posts on there

Three pieces of very good advice, thank you all. Some very good stuff on the TT Forum too. Just a little more to think about, before I make a decision... Demon Tweeks have a special offer on for the B12s and these have been recommended in the past by the TT Shop, Bedford. I'm trying to keep the improvements to my car simple and understated; 25mm is as low as I'd want to go and the sump change seems like a good idea.

Cheers buddy, I did love that car but a baby put paid to it, not that I regret it in the slightest as my "practical" family car is a 5.0 V8 :-) I wish I still had mine.

I do miss it on a nice sunny day :-)
