What cars have you fallen for which you would never have thought you would have.

For the past few months I have been using on and off my mums 1.1 Citroen AX and I have grown to love it's simplicity and character something that I never thought I would be saying.

Mercedes E320 estate.
Bought it as I needed a van, a load lugger, but thought that was better than a van.

Fell for it straight away and found my love of Mercs. Just a shame the newer ones have been a bit pants.

I loved my old Rover 45 Connoisseur - full leather, electric bits and in my eyes, a bit of a looker in black, with its shiny alloy wheels!

Only a 1.8 but spritely enough for A to B transport.

My present Peugeot 407 estate. Never thought I'd take to it at all but I've been very pleasantly proved wrong.

Fiat Barchetta.

Owned it 18 months.

Have driven it more miles in that short time than any other car I have owned.

Somewhere near 14,000 miles.

[excluding 2 vans I had for courier work which did a huge mileage]

Peugeot 208 with a 1.2 engine.

A million miles away from my last car (BMW 325) but I love driving it.

I've been using a Fabia TDI the last few months.

It has so much body roll, it looks like st but I do love it. It's great for the commute and I've averaged 65mpg!

Getting back in the RX today for the first time in a while saw me attain 15mpg for the same journey! I want the Fabia back! boxedin

After years of sports cars I fell in love with a Volvo 940 Estate, actually a 740 Estate followed by 4 940's
The breakers took one last week and another is on its way. Replaced by a Jag X Type Estate - very nice but not a patch on the beloved Volvo(s).

A MK2 950CC Fiesta. No equipment, nothing to break and a clutch pedal that goes 'pyoinnnggggg' every time I press it. Love it to bits, such a hoot to chuck about.

Fiat Seicento Sporting.

The most reliable, longest owned car I've had. So much character and such a giggle to drive too.
I've taken a deposit on it tonight and I'm gutted.
I've been less upset when a girlfriend has left me frown

My favourite car so far has been a Land Rover Discovery 2 V8 gs manual. I expected to hate it but instead I truly loved it, good fun and full of charisma. I will also recommend a Volvo 940 lovely beasts.

Volvo S60 T5.
After my Clio 182 and 2 classics it started off feeling too big, heavy and dull to fall in love with but after a year or so I realised just how good an all rounder it is. Not sure I'd know what to replace it with now without spending loads of money.
