On the shortlist: "I have a somewhat odd taste in cars. Not into modern stuff but wouldn't say no to an M6 or FF Range Rover. Over the years I've owned more than 15 cars and all, bar a couple, have been sub £1,000 and run until they have become too expensive to repair. Apart from two which were written off. I've tried to make this list a mix of fun and sensible cars so there's one for every occasion".

Range Rover

Why I chose it: "Needed one car for family duties, going to Ikea, the skip run etc. Would sit on a motorway cruise in full comfort but also quite capable if I ever fancy doing a bit of green laning."

Maybe swap out the Nova & Cossie for a 348?
You do declare your love for the Cossie, but it seems crazy to pay £30k for a Cossie, when you can have the same performance from a similar age Celica GT-4 or Subaru Impreza for £3k! Each to their own though.
I've been well and truly rumbled 
Max Power was indeed a big part of my youth.... but back in them days we generally had the engines to back up the bodykit, unlike today. To clear a few things up, when I say rebuild the Chimaera, I know that £15k isn't going to do it, what I mean is suspension and chassis, oh and maybe a respray if the budget allows.
I love Cossies, I know I could have similar or better performance for that kind of money but I wouldn't be driving a Cossie. The Nova is pricey but there are not that many about that look as good as that one, worth paying for I think.
The XJS is a very compromised car but there is something about them.
Went to the Jag factory once and saw a complete new V12 and gearbox in a skip, nearly cried. Amazing to watch them dripping the entire thing throught the engine bay vertically then bringing turning it 90 degrees to fit.
Escort Cossie. Would nee some work to sort the suspension.
Nova a rtrip down memory lane though.
