I put up a thread a few days ago wanting some help insuring a 2011 Nissan GTR I put a deposit down on. Encountered major problems because my 5 years NCB is trade and not private, the same problem I came accross this time last year when ready to purchase a McLaren 12C. Plus they were moaning about me not having enough high performance experience to justify insuring me on a 12C.

Got some very helpful answers and then a few hours later the trolls came along, namely 'Tonker' and his mate 'trickywoo'

I couldn't post this picture on the original thread as it was closed by admin (I presume) due to a couple of unsavory racially motivated remarks made by 'tonker' towards myself. Yeh, I know.

Hey OP, you gave me an idea.

You should put the lids of the custard in the instrument cluster instead of the RPM and speedo faces.

Not for any particular reason other than it would look funny.

No I can confidently say I never got the chance to own the 12C even though the deal was all in place, insurance was a huge problem without any private NCB. But hopefully if I don't stack the GTR into a brick wall, I'll be ok to insure a 458 Spider or McLaren 650S next summer.

I actually think not getting it was a blessing in disguise when you look at how the prices have dropped since the 650S was launched

I'm not precious at all when it comes to these things, but being insulted by someone based on your ethnicity isn't what you expect when you're simply asking for advice on car insurance.
