Hooning, with or without Passenger... how do you do it?

On a weekend I will have a run out to my local farm shop to get the weekly bits. The drive to the farm involves around 10 miles of well sighted (usually empty) B-roads. I have done this run for years in various cars and its become a little weekend ritual, but always on my own.

Last weekend the missus asked to come along and she seemed quite shocked when I said no. This got me thinking as this is the only time in the week when I can enjoy the car on my own with no distractions.

So how do you go for your weekly blast out; on your own, with a mate, son, daughter, OH?

I don't hoon as such, it's difficult in a Riley built in 1963 but whenever I do go for a drive, I always ask my O/H if she'd like to come along. She puts up with a lot with my car obsession so it's only polite to involve her in it.

I love to hoon alone but sometimes it's fun to take the mrs. Hit a particularly good section at a particularly high speed today, looking over and seeing her grinning from ear to ear made it a wee bit better.

The OH gets too scared so never comes.

Don't mind a passenger but the added weight is very noticeable, as is the fact I'm constantly elbowing them when changing gear (VX220) so would always choose to go alone.

I only have one mate that will come out on a spirited run with me and the wife certainly wont. Not sure if that says something about my driving but i do like company on a run, although any time out in the car in the Brecon mountains with nowhere to go is simply wonderful.

I did an early morning EVO triangle run a few weeks ago alone, enjoyed it a lot more than with a passenger.

... although some of the roads/scenery looked amazing and its hard to explain that to someone when home. I suppose that's one of them driving moments meant just meant for yourself.

I don't really mind - I do quite like having a hoon by myself, just to enjoy the roads and get away from others.

Equally I've enjoyed having a passenger(s) with me when hooning as it does make nice company, depends what mood I'm in!

i hoon on my way home from work, nice back roads, usually clear and only if weather / traffic permits.
means i can get rid of the sttiness of my 9-5, all out of my system by the time i get home to Pirate's wench Benzo and Sea Cadet Benzo.

Alone, definitely. Had a fantastic run around South Wales very early on Bank Holiday Monday which a passenger wouldn't have liked or understood.... Actually I really liked not being out in a group of other cars, not having to either wait for them or
