No, that would tie up Police and legal resources too much.

It should be law that you get a free pass to nudge the car of anyone who speeds up to prevent overtakes right off the road. No assistance will be given to those nudged and their insurance becomes invalid the moment they speed up to prevent an overtake.

How about some kind of auto sensor that makes the car blow up if it detects application of full throttle when there is another car passing on the left.

Slip roads might get messy but it would be a price worth paying.

The over taker should be allowed to follow the blocking car to wherever it is going and then beat the drivers brains out with their car door. Like Vinnie does in Lock Stock.

It's only murder if they intend to kill you. The closest you'd get with conventional crimes would be reckless endangerment and I think that carries much the same penalties as dangerous driving anyway.

Or you could just buy a decent car which can out-accelerate any numpty who tries that.

One part of the answer but can't afford one at the moment for the 40k miles I do a year.

Following a numpty in a Suzuki SX4 at 40 in an NSL get to a straight pull out to overtake and floors it. Fortunately must've been in the wrong gear as managed to get past without causing the car coming the other way to have a fit.

Attempted murder mainly for effect but publicising it was reckless endangerment and carried 6+ points and a hefty fine would be a good deterrent.... if we could think of a way to enforce it. TBH numpty probably wouldn't probably have sufficient neurones to realise that enforcement would be difficult!

Might have to adjust that for driving on the left or overtaking would be difficult. .!!!

Something that detected a truck overtaking a truck on a dual carriageway and limited slow lane truck to 45 and allowed fast lane truck up to 55 mph wouldn't half help congestion though
