Joys of living close to the East Coast Main Line

......the Red Arrows just flew over my house at about 300 feet in perfect formation, using the rail line to navigate at a guess.

But then I am only about 20 miles from their base and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's base too, both near Lincoln.
The roar of 9 jet engines is spectacular, but I am of an age where the sound of six Merlin engines low over my back garden brings a lump to my throat and a tear to the eye.

Silly old sod.

I didn't go this year, but last year was _corking_ - Battle of Britain flight, Vulcan and a Eurofighter, all doing lots of silly things and showing off.
