What would be the reaction of the examiner - Dash Cam...

So, you turn up to the test station for your driving test and the car is fitted with a front and rear dash cam. There is also one inside that records driver and passenger, and the conversation.

What would be the reaction of the driving examiner?

What an odd rule, especially as a lot of vehicles have dash cams in them now.

Being as Police custody suits are covered by camera now, cctv is everywhere, the police film us a lot whilst we are driving and use it as evidence against us, scamera partnerships film us at will, do you have any idea what makes the DSA so special that they can stipulate this Von ?

I always thought it was common knowledge especially to instructors/driving schools what routes the examiner used . I live close to a test centre and it's common to see reverses round one particular corner, and three point turns on another section of quiet road. One driving school locally has fitted rear cameras, possibly as a deterrent tothose drivers who think a learner can magically go faster if a car gets closer to the rear end. .

My father in law is a driving instructor, he has both front and rear cameras in his car. He even has a big sign on his car saying 'smile, you're on camera' so hardly hidden.

Imagine the amount of appeals if their little darlings happen to fail a test. Angry parent forcing examiner to watch and re-watch the footage until the examiner sees that they were wrong and passes their little darling...

I honestly don't know anyone with a dashcam. The only person I know with a Go Pro uses it on his mountain bike.

many manufactures are starting to add a dash cam as standard so it explains why the DVSA are re-thinking their policies.

Which manufacturers are those?

I thought dash cams were the preserve of the type that goes out looking for trouble like the helmet cam cyclist crowd... (in cars anyway, I know HGVs/buses have them in some cases)
