French Pertol Cost

Soon to embark on holiday to France. Anyone been recently who can tell me the cost of petrol at the moment? Just decide which side of the channel to fill up. With an S8 it is a costly business so any saving a blessing!

Petrol in France is more expensive than diesel, and more expensive than the UK. If I remember correctly at motorway service stations it's circa 1.60e...

The supermarkets are significantly cheaper (as they are in the UK too), making it about £1.20 / EUR 1.52 for a litre of san plomb

The French government (i think although it does look to have adverts) run a website where all petrol stations have to show their prices

If you have an idea of how far you can get on the fuel you have you can search for the towns/supermarkets with cheaper fuel or stations on the autoroute to see how much extra they are.

Thanks all. On the whole seems slightly cheaper unlike diesel which is way cheaper than in the UK. Sadly our merc is much smaller than the audi so not as much room for some of France's finest despite running diesel so saving me a fortune.
