C70 - the forgotten 4 seater convertible?

On the way home from work yesterday, I passed a black Volvo C70 convertible. On a 59 plate IIRC. It looked absolutely fantastic, and I found myself in a weird admiration of the driver for choosing it over a German rival. Is there any reason why you see hardly any of them compared with the equivalent 3 series or A4? Is it just a brand snobbery thing?

The old T5 variant is a very tempting used buy for summer Shirley?

I really like them. Drove my colleague's one to Hanover and back - really nice car.

My Father in Law had a T5 & it was certainly different from a 3 series convertible. I didn't really get on with it. The main annoyances were that the suspension was rock hard and crashy and the ground clearance at the front was laughable. Even relatively small speed bumps caused some scraping.

I saw a black one last week and thought the same. I had forgotten about these cars. Maybe it's the weather that is bringing them out. I thought it looked really good with roof up. I guess the driver profile might put people off as it was definitely a retired couple in it.

Drove my FIL's T5 version, great sound. Definitely a cruiser car as opposed to using it for a hoon.

Have always thought the C70 looked beautiful with the roof up, and even more stunning with the roof down.

They have a very granddad at the golf club image in my opinion. As evidenced by the number of fathers in law mentioned in this thread.
