A guy at work has a tuned Octavia VRS diesel, he is saying it has 270 bhp and 450 lb/ft, is that possible ? apparently it has a remap, exhaust and DPF removed.

I would thought that it would be possible to get that sort of power but would need a lot more parts than that. Upgraded turbo for a start.

100 exta bhp from some reasonably simple modifications? If its true, the turbo will be working hard, and perhaps the injectors too.

If it's the 200bhp version then 270 is possible.

very possible to tune the 2.0TDI to produce more than it's factory output. Stage 2 remaps claim around 220hp and up to 470NM ~ 350lbft with no other modifications.

Darkside Developments are the chaps to bolt together a true 250+ HP diesel, it does require ££££ and quite a few parts though.

Message to self - read the OP properly first.

In that case, I'd be very suprised if it was making 270; 200 maybe but that sounds a bit too high. Has it been measured on a dyno?

Ive seen a Cupra with the 2.0TDI running at just over 250bhp. Lots of modifications required though, and it dumps huge mountains of black smoke whenever prodded.

210 is easily achievable, 220 on a good day with no real modifications outide of breathing.
