Earlier today I witnessed a woman crash her car into another while attempting to park causing a small amount of damage to the rear quarter of the parked car.

I recorded the offending cars registration so I'm thinking of returning and leaving a note containing the reg of the offending car.. Would they require me to leave my details so that I can provide a witness statement if needed?

Or do I just mind my own business fearing a potential backlash from the offending vehicle driver? (they both live one street away and could easily identify my car)

Regards

Richard

Edited to add the offending driver may have left her details anyway. I drove off after she finished her manoeuvre..

Just think how you would feel returning to your car with damage and no details

On here having a rant

Or returning to damaged vehicle and finding the details of who hit it..

If it was your car and you came back to find damage, how would you feel? If you know the owner the very least you can do is ask if they know who pranged their car... Then you can offer details if they don't know...

Leave your details, it's the decent thing to do.

Leave details. It's the right thing.

My car was damaged in the same spot when i was at work one day. No details left.

I would have been extremely grateful if somebody had the decency to leave me some details.

I'm surprised anyone would need to ask.
