0 - 130km/h 6.3sec
0 - 160km/h 8.8sec
0 - 180km/h 11.2sec
0 - 200km/h 13.6sec

400m 12.3sec (191km/h)

and this was a 6MT!

just look where it would slot here, right around Murcielago, 997 turbo etc.

That is actually pretty mental! That is just a touch slower than the last generation of Supercars! I'd imagine 2 or 3 generations from now if hybrid technology is introduced and used like it is on the P1 etc then we'll see cars like the M3 running 0-100mph times faster than 458's can now!

It's certainly very quick for a saloon car but it's not in the same league as a 997 turbo; that number must be wrong, I don't believe the 997 turbo S is two seconds (!) quicker to 100 than the normal turbo?

It is a sixty grand car, a 135i does 100 in 11 something so BMW needed to make it faster than that for twice the money.

Amazing how fast the German stuff is these days, this is knocking on
the door of the GTR, nobody else seems to have an answer to the 135i, Golf R, various other Mercs and BMW's

Sportauto (Germany) tested a 997 turbo in 2006...

0-40 km/h: 1,1 s
0-60 km/h: 1,8 s
0-80 km/h: 2,8 s
0-100 km/h: 3,8 s
0-120 km/h: 5,2 s
0-140 km/h: 6,5 s
0-160 km/h: 8,3 s
0-180 km/h: 10,4 s
0-200 km/h: 12,6 s

997 turbo is more powerful, by 50 bhp, and 4wd so would expect it to be a bit quicker, but not 2 seconds quicker, the BMW has a fair few years of progress, think the gearchanges these days knock a few tenths off here and there, suffice to say a 997 turbo wouldnt destroy something this quick easily.

How quick are remapped/tuned 135i's, arent some of them knocking on 400 plus bhp ?
