Just had a thought, as more or less every major company have caught on the mobile apps and using it as a platform to sell or enhance products/services, will we see tuning company starting to develop in-app purchases to modify your car? Seeing as more and more car components are computerise, eg steering/suspension/engine management etc. I know a lot of cars offered factory set modes eg comfort/sport/track etc but the end user able to download and ie H&R/Eibach setting on.

Funny enough I was thinking the exact same thing the other day.
On board computer comes with the ECU maps already pre-programmed and you just log in to an app and purchase an extra 10 BHP and bobs your uncle, it translates to your in car PC and re-calibrates the ECU!

You already can, sort of.
I'm running a MegaSquirt ecu on my kit car and use the TunerStudio programme on my laptop to tune it, I'm sure you can get it on a mobile too.
