Am I allowed a dull what car? Family barge for up to £10K

We need to replace the current heap before I torch the bloody thing...

- Budget up to £10K
- Big boot - bigger the better with low lip. So presumably estate or MPV.
- 5 seats fine - no need for 7.
- leather (ideally) and lots of toys.
- <4 years old
- <100K miles.
- 2 litre minimum
- low miles so mileage not a big concern but I do like a bit of torque for towing.

Have considered;
- BMW 3/5 touring - not in budget
- Ford S-Max - ideal except not in budget
- Ford Mondeo Estate - Mrs needs convincing.
- Honda Accord Estate - huge!!
- BMW X3 - not keen on 4X4 style.

Current favourite is a Mazda 6 estate 2.2 diesel - are these any good?

What else should I consider?

May just scrape in on budget but quality needs checking

Skoda superb estate and it's 2 years newer

Thanks for the suggestions...

After spending a day looking we have just bought a Mondeo hatchback! Complete u-turn and Wife convinced!!

Mazda 6 was ok but did nothing for me.
Passat and Touran were good drives but the interior of the ones in budget was a little bland.
Couldn't find any A4/A6s in budget that hadn't been to the moon.
Rav4 was a contender. Everything was OK but not enough oomph.
Only saw a couple of big Skodas which were OK but I really don't like the faux chrome grill.
Tiguan - huge car, tiny boot.
S-Max - older ones in budget - tried an auto which would really mess with my control freak nature.

I have ended up buying (assuming it all goes through OK) a 2.2 TDCI Mondeo. Really well spec'ed and really does drive well.

I really hate and love car shopping in equal measure!
