'F1' Number plate sold for £10 million

the plate was advertised by bargain plate seller* regtransfers for just over 10m, however it seems the owner of the plate did not authorise the advert and it has since been removed.
thats 9.5m more than he paid for the plate a few years ago and has allegedly turned down an offer of more than 5m , which stinks of bs.

It was a slightly tongue in cheek post, it was obvious he was referring to a different country, I was just pointing out that this type of plate has been a focus of a lot of serious investors in the UK over the past few years because of low risk, and rising values.Smanks said:

I mean, how does it give you 400k worth of "cool" or whatever? If someone told me that they had a number plate that they paid 10k for I would not be any less impressed, if I had to be.
It's all 100% speculative, and who knows what the future holds? Number-plate free cars? (We're already tax-disc free...) No cars at all?
