Audi A3 e-tron

I am off to Ragley Hall next Friday for a drive in the new A3 e-tron, they only have left hookers and no mobile or other cameras allowed, should be good to see how they perform.
Although I would prefer a full on petrol motor and something a bit more exotic, this hybrid and the Golf GTE should be half decent as a tax efficient company car with the BiK tax being ever so low (£67 a month for 40% tax payers)
I'm no car journalist but will give my opinion after if you are interested, anyone else on here that is going?

If they get it right it will be a great car. My concern on both this and the Golf GTE is that TSG triple clutch gearbox. The whole point about electric cars and Toyota's HSD is a single speed transmission where the power delivery is step less and endless. Not sure how adding gears and a "please break me" clutches arrangement helps.

It was very good and being Audi, very slick.Nice greeting, guys waiting with Audi umbrellas by the car doors as it was raining when we turned up. Buffet lunch and drinks while we were waiting. 20 min briefing on the car and the then a 10 minute drive around the local area in convoy formation then stopping to change drivers and off again.
The car, well... I thought it was excellent, really nice inside, not sure it will be available in the spec shown though.
Handles very well, unnoticeable between electric and petrol in hybrid mode and good power when you need it.
The biggest downside - its not available for another 7 months. 7 cars available on the day, only 10 in the world, newest car I have ever driven

Not sure I have an A4 and had reguistered on the Audi web page requesteing to be kept updated on information as they released it then about 3 weeks ago I got an email invite from Audi direct.
