What should I get as my second car?

I've only had my car licence since February but I'm already getting an itch to get a faster car. Currently have a Vauxhall Corsa C 1.2 which I love. It costs hardly anything to run, gets good MPG and hasn't once let me down.
Insurance is going to be my problem, so I might need to think outside the box to bring prices down. Thinking about moving up to a Vauxhall Corsa C 1.8 as the insurance is almost identical to my 1.2 while being a lot faster. Being young I want something fast and fun while being cheap which is proving difficult.
Any ideas on what to get?

Dont underestimate the cost of changing cars. By the time you have found the reason the previous seller was selling (usually) you can end up with big bills.
Id also suggest not getting the exact same model again. Life is too short. Think outside the box.
I think the advice to wait a year makes sense. Everything goes down and, if I look at myself after having a licence for a year, I had a lot to learn!
Remember, though, faster isn't always more fun: I probably get as much of a kick (although not up the pants!) driving a Cinq Sporting as an MR2 turbo!

I've been doing quotes for when I've got 1 years NCB and hardly anything changes. I still wouldn't be able to insure any of the cars mentioned and I don't know why. For instance - a Honda CRX with 1 years NCB will be £350 a month.
