Mileage discrepancy

I've just been looking at a honda civic type r with around 16500 miles on the clock but when I did a HPI check on it, it came back with the following...



I've questioned the seller but they seem a bit puzzled with this?

Any help would be great =)

The 2nd entry is probably wrong as it's the same date as the other.

Well, if there's one thing I'm learning today, it's that the national mileage register is full of errors and they won't fix them.

true, I'm sure it's down to someone typing the wrong number to start with, but it seems like you there isn't an "edit" button for the last user which would be a smart idea.

Editing old entries, yep, big problem, but there's two threads today with errors that were corrected on the same date.

The car is over 3 years old, 2011.

Considering the car was less than 3 years old back in 2013, would it have had a MOT done for me to check online?

The seller said that they have all the paper work/stamps from previous services, one done at around 8k then the next one at 13k.

What's the best way of confirming that the milage is what's advertised? Maybe get in contact with the people who serviced the car last?

In guessing the mileage has been incorrectly entered, as assuming the correct mileage was entered at a service, the incorrect mileage would be roughly a next service due mileage.

Call the dealers who's stamps are in the book and get them to confirm the mileage.
