Ah.. After horrible tramlining with the premium pirellis, I have a lovely to drive car with nexans on the front on my mondeo. It's great to have a car that doesn't steer by itself anymore. Who said cheap tyres are crap?

Some cheap tyres are crap - the ones fitted to my Mondeo by the selling dealer were awful. However, the Pirellis on my Jag were exceptionally crap too - albeit in different ways.

Pzero Nero. Grippy, long life. Great handling. But twitchy. And uncomfortable.

Looking at last months Which mag tests on tyres - Michelin Energy saver 65% £58, Nokian Line 62% £58

So which are the "cheap" tyres?
