Company car vs opt out

I am being offered 615 PCM for opt out or a car to the value of 33k list if I go company car.

I want to opt out to get something nicer than list.

Miles per year 20-30k
Private mileage minimum
Tax band 40%

What do I need to look at to weigh up the options?

If you take the money.... ( and I would ).... if you spend it on a car, and are then made redundant in 6 months time.
You are tied to a hoofing expensive car for 2-3 years.

If a company car breaks down on your way to work - you are not late. You will be with your own car.

Most folks ( including me) opted to get a cheaper car ( as we were not entertaining customers) and pocket the rest to do something nice with... holidays, weekend mental cars etc etc

It is very much swings and roundabouts here.
