White smoke under hard acceleration?

I've got a C55 AMG, seems to be running well with no lack of performance.

Day in day out driving is town/stop start. Two to three times a week I find some open road and use the full rev range. Invariably under the first acceleration there is some white smoke from the exhaust, not plumes but a definate haze. Under the second acceleration, some smoke but less with no smoke under subsequent accelerations. Normal or doom?

Tyre smoke from so much power through cold tyres!! Once warmed up they don't spin so easy!

Condensation or just clearing out the ste from the system after steady driving.

On a more serious note, I always thought that white smoke was burning oil, is that a possible cause?

That tends to be blue smoke.

I would guess condensation too.

This was caused by a broken coil pack. Might be something worth having a glance at, I seem to recall hearing of someone else (friend of a friend) who had a W203 Merc experiencing coil pack issues.

My S4 has condensation, but thats *every time* it's warming up not just when I'm going out to wring its neck.

Can mean a blown cylinder head gasket. Check water and oil consumption and condition of oil and water.

I had "white smoke paranoia" in my E55 AMG a while ago - they definitely tend to condensate for quite a while after starting especially when cold or if it had been raining.

I have a Cayman which even set off the smoke detector in the house due to the amount of plumage whilst exiting the integral garage!

Thanks (most of you! for putting my mind at ease. Oil condition looks fine, although, disappointingly, this version of the w203 engine does not have a manual dipstick and you have to rely on the computer, which adds another layer of potential faults imo.
