Car seems to rev more freely after servicing

Don't know if this is placebo or if any you guys have experienced this. I have noticed that my engine seems to rev slightly more easily and a teeny bit louder since I got the oil, oil filter, gear box oil, pads (cleaned calipers) changed. I always thought the old pads and calipers were dragging on the disks slightly, although the alloys weren't hot to the touch.

I don't think am going crazy, is there any sensible explanation for this?

Reading this upsets me!

Every single time i service one of my cars, I jump back in with such joyous glee expecting a transformation, and do you know what, they never fail to feel almost exactly no different!

Maybe I should leave bigger gaps between servicing.......

old oil was too think?
new oil is too thin?
last service just stamped your book n charged you but didnt do anything, so you have been driving with oil 1 step away from bitumen in the sump.
