After input on tow vehicles sub 1.5k (sorry )

Hi all Right, before i start explaining this i want t make it clear that i anit just hoping for someone to lead me to the perfect car and im open to suggestions so feel free 
Anyway i currently have a integra type r which i love! but alas a change of circumstances in September means its gonna have to go. As i hate the idea of not being able to keep it maintained in the best way i can which i 100% wont be able to come the end of September ( moving house, change of job added expense etc)
Im working on the idea of getting circa 4k for the teg which needs to pay for a trailer license+lessons and trailer/hire and a daily car and most importantly a track only car so i can do track days again as i only get to a couple a year as is
So from my maths im going to have max of 1.5k to spend on a daily car that needs to be able to tow around 1400kg and be good on fuel (circa 40mpg is fine) logic says diesel 4x4 but the added issue is i often have disable passenger with me so a 4x4 doesn't work (seat hight issues)
My thinking is is large estate car / luxo barge either diesel or lpg something like a bmw 5 series etc something thats engaging to drive would be a bonus ! tall order i know !
And to throw a final spanner in the works i want to avoid any cars from the VAG group. Im a jap guy at heart and i see so many of these around i like to have something a bit off the wall!
, i know this may seem foolish but at the end of the day i know i wont be happy if i end up driving one and that's my simple reason for not having one
I know this post is getting quite long but please bear with me as im trying to be accurate as i know vague posts can be annoying
My short list
Alfa 156 sport wagon 2.4jtd Great sound and feels "special" to drive not very common
BMW e36/e34 2.5tds Always wanted a BMW quite tunable reportaidly able to run on vegi oil diesel mix
Toyota avensis (03 -08) d4d Would be different with a couple of mods (lower and wheels) quite reliable
Honda accord tourer 2.2 cdti (01-08? ) Always liked the way they look and can look nice with simple mods
Lexus ls400 lpg A v8 is always good ! very comfy might struggle to do the 40mpg equivalent though haha
