I am quite certain that nobody clever enough to earn enough money to buy such a car is 15 years old enough to attempt to replicate advertisement stunt driving.

I'm not sure these agencies appreciate quite how offensive their censorship can be. Ironically I suspect the DailyMail is correct on this occassion and the ban just effectively readvertises Jag's sportscars again for free and increases their appeal to the sorts who can actually afford to buy them anyway.

Brilliant marketing - create an ad that's just about hovers on the naughty side of the regulators - inevitably gets banned - newspapers/forums catch wind of it - cause a stir which gets the ad viewed by vastly more people - voilà, the brand gets exactly what it was looking for, in more potential customers reached and Jag especially move themselves ever so slightly further away from the stuffy old boys club image it had a decade ago. Into the new territory it wants to associate its brand with.

What is 'left wing' about banning a car advert that shows enthusiastic driving? I don't see what it has to do with promoting social equality and supporting those less fortunate? The ad wasn't banned because the car was too expensive and they think we should all be driving Ladas.

I do see that banning such adverts is completely unnecessary though.

It is allowed to constantly bombard the masses with adverts for short-term loans at 2000% APR, specifically targeting desperate people with financial worries.
