Got one as a hire car, since when have 1.0's been so lively for such a smalle engine

I believe it's a 3 cylinder with a turbo, I've not had any passengers on board but in the evening I've been ooot and about the countryside killing Time and it's a right laugh

How long the engines will last before they start costing is up in the air I guess

You're right about the engine - I think it might be direct injection too but I cant be certain on that. I understand it's rated at 125 bhp....compare to my 1.6 civic from 2005 making a claimed 110 bhp and it is certyainly progress

Daihatsu Charade GTti, 1.0, 99bhp. Apparently they were loads of fun until they got wrapped around a tree or other part of the scenery.
