RE: Goodwood Festival of Speed live!

With a forum thread extending to nearly 250 comments, the live streaming of the Festival of Speed certainly attracted plenty of attention over the weekend. Now we're back into the working week and counting down the days until the Revival.

The Goodwood live feed may be over but there's plenty to catch up on from an excellent Festival
But fear not if you missed anything from the live feed across due to pesky commitments such as work or family because Goodwood has a wealth of highlights. See here for the supercar run clip that is part of a 21-video playlist including Jay Kay's LaFerrari, Loeb in the 208 T16 and Felipe Massa in Damon Hill's Williams FW18. In total there are 80 minutes of highlights, which should help pass some of the day.

Just had a bald marketing guy from Audi interviewed about Audi and their stand at Goodwood. It has 30 cars on it this year. Interviewer then asks "how many cars have you got on your stand this year?" after reading from her notes instead of listening...
"30" replied the bald man.
So there are 30 cars on Audi's stand this year, more than ever before.
Then watched some red-faced youth presenter guy getting really excited as a Mazda MX5 road car drove past him and his huge microphone. "TODAY IS ALL ABOUT ROAD CARS" he shouted.
Then an interview with a Mr & Mrs Combo who were looking at the Mercedes 1936 Grand Prix car being fettled.
"Have you ever seen anything like this before?" said the lass with the mic...
"Yes, last year" came the reply
"So you've been to Goodwood before then. What keeps bringing you back? she said...
"THE CHANGES" said the guy with the rucksack.
What a stupid answer. How can you see 'the changes'? "Hello, Ive come to see The Changes. Can you tell me where The Changes are please?"
Time then for an interview with a bald marketing guy from Peugeot, who rambled on about hybrid technology and how economical the car was that he was talking about.
Left him to it and wrote this to keep my spirits up.

Just got back from Goodwood and another great year, some runs in the M3, M4, Citroen DSR, DS4, Seat Leon Cupra R etc....
Also the Maserati Centenary exhibition was worth the trip! The Alfieri was there in all of it's beauty. I am putting a deposit down on this once orders are being taken!

Just moving with the times, for better or worse... I need a What has happened to Pistonheads?
for "Humbug"... Today the CBC - Canadian Broadcasting Company (Consortium? Cabal?) - announced it's plan to move to mobile apps and internet media as primary content services, and away from TV/Radio Broadcasting and thus away from ME!. 
Less original content, more adverts(used to have none), can only mean more crap... I'm not Canadian, tho' I do live nearby, alas I get no vote. Ironical, this was self-reported by the CBC on a CBC2 radio news broadcast.

Friday's feed is now embedded and should be live soon. Sad to here that some of yesterday's coverage wasn't quite up to scratch, it does sound like there's a lot more going on from today. Any further comments/observations/criticisms always welcome and we'll pass them on to Goodwood.
