Boring Friday question - hoover for the car.

I got a Black & Decker mini-cyclone from Halfords recently...reduced to £50.
It's 12v, so wasn't expecting much and thought I'd still need 'proper' vacuum for floor mats but it's surprisingly powerful and effective.

+1. Ours has been perfect for years and would buy another without hesitation if it ever broke.

Our Henry has been superb (for many years).
I have used a Henry in the garage for years - the Mrs liked it so much she ditched the house Dyson and bought a Hetty.

Yeah, it does still seem expensive. But less so when you look at the price of the normal and own-brand 12v/rechargeable vacuums, which couldn't be less effective if they tried.As I said, really surprised by how well it works and it's very portable - it's great for doing my tractor too, which is a pain in the arse with a normal cleaner because the hoses are never long enough not to have to lift the whole bloody thing 6 feet off the ground and have as awkward lump to work around in a relatively small space.
I do wonder how much it draws from the battery though, considering the relative 'power' and the time taken to vacuum a vehicle...

Our Little hetty is brilliant , she is 4 years old & cleans up after a great dane and two cockers as well as all the other mess we create daily and still works as good as new. Her bag is massive , cable is long , tools are good. You cannot do better for £100 and its still made in the UK.
Don't bother with a 12v etc , these I think are 1200w , but through decent design they seem to suck up better than 2000w+.

+6 - with a Henry you'll probably never need to buy another vacuum.
