Jesus the daily mail pisses me off!
They mix up the numbers in the second bullet to read 540!!!
Then in the caption beneath the first photo it reads, "James Hull, centre"...but he is the only person in the picture! Are their readers so thick they may confuse one of the cars as a person?
Ugh.
Awesome man cave though - if i had that sort of money you could bet on me having large scale model aircraft hanging from every ceiling i own.

te reporting! Is it 450 cars or 540 cars? Still a pretty impressive collection nonetheless. 
It is common for collections this large to be sold together (I know it is unlikely to happen, but why even ask)?
I would have thought that a collection is a very personal thing. In a collection of 450 even the most dedicated car enthusiast is going to find stuff he doesn't want. In fact with 450 I imagine you'll find loads. How many of those are going to be duplicates, or very similar model years and specs? Or just a bit 'uninteresting'?
Also, when does a hardcore car collector choose to sell his entire collection? I thought that usually happened once the collector had died, not at 53 because you're thinking about collecting stamps?
Its cool in the terms of a rags to riches story and some of the cool cars in the collection, but I dare say the chap might be more of a hoarder/holding onto them for investment reasons than a car enthusiast? Look how tightly parked they are. Its not exactly a Jay Leno style garage where you can still from its layout that most everything can and will be used. Imagine trying to get out some of that buried stuff, I imagine it could take hours to get a particular car out.

There doesn't appear to be very much of interest in there. I think he'll have a hard time shifting the collection in one lump.
Personally (if i had the money!) i'd only really fancy the XJS's, the Maserati Merak, the Citroen SM and a trio of Mini's.
To be honest he'll sell them a lot faster if he splits the collection, even if only by marque.
