Bike or Car?

Thinking about buying some new wheels. No idea what I want as i'm still deciding on whether or not I should get a bike or a car. Any suggestions?

Surely it depends what you want it for and how much you have to spend etc.etc?

I have a car for car stuff and a bike for, er bike type stuff.

They're not really interchangeable – cars suck at bike stuff and vice versa.

Years ago I faced the same dilema as I could not afford to keep both. I sold the car and rode the bike for everything inc trips to the supermarket in winter. It sucked balls big time so I shelled out on a £500 banger for practical duties.

A good compromise might be one of those 3 wheeled scooters or a Morgan 3 wheeler in spitfire livery?

As stated above depends on what you want to spend and what you will use them for.

I'm just looking for something new and exciting. In reality I think I would like to get the bike, particularly for in the summer.

If you want a bike get a bike! Lots of great new bikes out, from the new YZFR125 to bigger stuff like the 675R and some new Ducati badassary.

You'll get more suggestions if you give budget, requirements like 4 seats, 30mpg, etc for the cars.

I prefer a bike but I have a big bike and a truck so this suits my needs well. As already asked we need to know your budget?

Nothing excites like a motorbike. And if you've not ridden before, learning an entirely new skill set is fun.

Bike, if fun is any consideration. That said, I wouldn't want to solely own a bike, a shed car is useful. But for fun, bike is going to win every time.

I've been thinking about getting a bike but I don't think I will be able to afford to keep both a bike and a car. Is it a sensible idea to change. The car is starting to come to the end of its life so I will also have to look around to get the price if I am going to be able to get the bike I want.
