A question about roof racks (sorry)

Interesting thread of the year, I'm sure you'll all agree.
Anyway, I have an XC60 which has these new style 'flush' roof rails so any roof bars to carry anything are fitted in a different way.
Predictably I can only find THule ones that are compatible and £150-£200. I resent massively paying £200 for some roof bars considering the ones for my XC90 were about £15 from Halfords.
And looking around there appear to be plenty of flush mounted ones for different cars which are significantly less money (particularly ebay).
WIll they fit~?

Here's a novel idea:
Try ringing them and asking them if they'll fit? Or is it too difficult? Are you worried you'll not be able to understand the answer? You could always post the answer here and let someone help you comprehend it.

I know, I felt a bit bad about writing it, then I thought "WWbsrD?", realised he would hold nothing back and that made up my mind. 
I take no offense from it.However, I would just like to defend myself in this instance.
1)I never do it for this type of thread (unless it is as banale as 'what kind of crisps shall I buy for my packed lunch) as this is exactly what forums are for. In fact I'm exactly the opposite- I get irritated by the "Why don't you google it?" brigade. You can google pretty much everything hence why ask any question ever?
2) THe stock answer when you ask people about these roof racks is "no" because they don't know.

Yes, thanks.I did actually come across that but then saw there were two sets of fitting instructions (one for the bars and one for the adapter) and thought it sounded like more than £100 worth of trouble so thought I'd ask PH instead.
