Insurers who specialise in points?

How about just not driving like a knob and live with it?
Plenty of ways to get 6 points without driving like a knob. That said, I find it hard to believe that you can be legitimately insured for £599 at 19 with 6 points, assuming it's a car and not a bike you're insured on.

He must live in the Outer Hebrides or something. Either that or he's fronting. That said, I find it hard to believe that you can be legitimately insured for £599 at 19 with 6 points, assuming it's a car and not a bike you're insured on.
OP - ignore the annoying little busy bodies who write on forums knocking others, and accusing people of fronting (which even if you are has absolutely nothing to do with them). They are only making up for their s

At 19 I had 9 points on my license. The first day I got a car I managed to crash is in spectacular fashion on the motorway. I've since then driven hundreds of thousands of miles and not had another crash. I've also learnt not to pick up points by using a tomtom with speed camera notifications and learning where they like to hide and get you. Although I have picked up a few along the way.
None of that proves I'm a good driver (I'm really average) - but it does prove I'm not a conceited moron who gets my thrills from having a pop at youngsters on the internet.
Oh and congratulations on your insurance price. I've found that points do not count that much when it comes to renewals - certainly not as much as some would like to believe.

I think that's a bit harsh without knowing the reasons etc. it's easy to get a couple of 3 pointers for pretty innocuous things so if suggest you get off your high horse!
It's easy to get the first one.If you have a modicum of clue, then it's easy to avoid the second one by driving as if not getting more points is the difference between continuing to drive and going back to L-plates. Which, for somebody in the first two years of their licence, it is.

Well actually it does. When people are fronting they are paying less into the pot than they should, meaning the rest of us make up the shortfall by paying more. If no one was fronting, and everyone told the truth and disclosed all their claims, convictions, business use, etc, then I would be paying less.
