I'm looking for a new car, hatchback Golf-sized type, and keep seeing positive (or even very positive) reviews of the Leon 5-door hatch. I'm not looking for anything particularly fast and performance-orientated, and thought the 1.2 petrol turbo sounded good. Anyone out there got experience of this model, and could give me some pointers? Many thanks.

It's a very good car based on a few test drives I've had and had one as a hire car. Much better than the previous version, decent interior, a lot of kit as standard with tech pack and they are good to drive. The 1.2 feels more powerful than it should do and gets decent economy. I'm probably going for a 2.0 184 tdi when we change our car. Some very good deals on them through brokers. Also worth looking at cupranet for more owner experiences, but on the whole they are very positive.
