Hello guys
I've been told that I can get the service record on my C250 Coupe by getting Mercedes to plug into the ECU, but they are telling me that it only shows the last service.
The service history that they have at the "mainframe" only covers the first service, and its now had its third service (the middle one was done by an small garage apparently)
How can I check if service two was done? And at the right time?
All help much appreciated.

The Mercedes electronic Service History is held on their 'mainframe' system, and if the car was serviced by a non-Mercedes garage, the service will not be on that history log. I am assuming that second service was done by a previous owner - is there a way of contacting them to see who performed the service? You could then ring the garage and ask them for a copy of the service invoice. (Good luck with that!)

I've seen a post on one of the MB forums where it shows the oil change mileage by using the Mercedes diagnostic machine, StarDiagnose. It's also not something in the standard menu, it needed someone who knew what they were doing to find it (ie a good indie).
Having said that, I presume all it does is record the mileage when the service reminder was reset - you still wouldn't know if the work had actually been done.
And anyway, it's pretty much just an oil and filter change. Brake fluid should be changed at 2yrs but a lot of people think that's OTT. Pollen filter and key battery are the only physical things at 2yrs, the rest is just checks.

Not sure that is the case. This is true. All for the bargain price of £504 from my local dealer. Thanks guys
Its a long story, but I might be able to go to the "second" garage and find out what happened.
I was just hoping that the ECU held a back up of all the services, to save me the aggro.
Mercedes absolutley told me that it doesnt, but I was told previously by a dealer that Mercedes could do it, if they were inclined - ie you were a mate of someone.
As someone who knows very little about cars, its a nuisance!

there is no way Mercedes will have access to any info regards a service carried out outside the dealer network.Its a long story, but I might be able to go to the "second" garage and find out what happened.
