Does swapping a ford fiesta with one axle that had been removed with a telehandler and a stihl saw for a 2nd hand ford focus wing mirror count
Dunno, but I once swapped my old Ford Escort that wouldn't turn over and had more rust than metal for 3 pizzas. Are we doing this right?Once, when I arrived home from boarding school for the summer holidays in the mid-60s I noticed my Dad's 1956 Morris Minor Traveller, the one he'd promised to me when I was old enough to drive a few months later, wasn't parked outside. He'd swapped it for a counter-top Colston dishwasher. I had a really crap summer holiday....
I swapped a 1982 Mini HL for an office photocopier back sometime in 1994. I was a Uni student, and this was pre- cheap printers and PCs era, so a photocopier was very useful back then for textbooks and notes from missed lectures (i.e. before 11am). It was also before mini prices rocketed - this one had cost me all of 50 quid (it ran, short MOT) a few weeks earlier.
A mate of a mate of a mate, worked with a bloke, who swapped a mini bonnet for a broken Betamax video player, which he fixed and swapped for a broken TR7, which he fixed, and swapped for a caravan, which he used to live in for 2 years, whilst he built a house. Instead of paying rent, he bought building materials.
I'm thinking that he swapped a mini bonnet for a house ?
