How much does mileage affect value?

I know the answer to this - "a lot". Me and the OH change our cars approximately every 2 years on Ford's Options scheme.
I do a lot more miles than her so after 2 years my car will have something like 30k miles whereas hers will have about 10k.
Would the cars be worth more if we lowered my mileage and upped hers so that both cars would have, say, 20k after 2 years?
