How to remove light scratches from alloy wheels?

Whilst offroading in my Jeep Wrangler, I've managed to put some light scratches on the face of the alloy wheels.

Before I take the wheels to a wheel refurb specialist, I wondered whether there are any off the shelf products that could be used to remove or reduce the scratches.

I've seen Autosol and other similar metal polishes but I don't think that they would do the job.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on suitable products that I could try?

Post some pics, give us a look at what we're dealing with.

Depends on the finish of the wheels (polished? painted?) and the severity of the scratch (can you feel it with a fingernail?). Could just need some compounding out/polishing, or may need touching up and wet sanding.

Here's a photo of the worst affected wheel.

The rim is not kerbed or damaged, and there are just shallow scrathes to the face of the spokes.

If you are going to be off roading in it - you will probably pick a few more scratches up.
Cant tell from the picture, but maybe a bit of T Cut or Meguiars scratch X in a small area to see if makes any difference ?
