High Bork factor success stories

Have you took the plunge and bought a cheap high Bork factor car that turned out to be totally reliable/ cheap motoring for a few years? Your stories may help others to bite the bullet and buy the old high mileage v8 etc.

Bought my 02 Boxster S at 55000 miles, did 40000 miles in it. The RMS & IMS remain intact & there were never any GHD hair straighteners left in the boot overnight.

5 years Lancia Integrale ownership and two years Mazda RX7 FD3S, both basically needed routine servicing plus minor odds and sods but no major borkage.

Also used to take my e34 M5 to the redline (usually several times) on almost every journey, even though it was pushing on towards 200k towards the end of my ownership.

However, in all of the above, I know I was lucky...
