Removing a personal plate

In the process of having a personilised number plate removed from a car I own.
I sent all the "stuff" of to DVLA a week ago
Today I received the replacement Registration Document but no new MoT or Tax Disc
Do these come under separate cover anyone?
I know I have to wait for the Retention Certificate

Yes. You receive the Reg doc with age related plate first and then the retention certificate and tax disc a few days later. You won't be given a new MOT though. The number only changes on the MOT cert when you MOT the car again.

I bought a used car from a main dealer and switched it to a private plate from the one I traded in.
The dealer handed me an MoT for the new car when I bought it and about ten days later the V5 and MoT for the old car with a new registration number came to me and I forwarded it on to the dealer.
I have to say that I’ve done this there or four times in the last few years and every time the process is different.
Sometimes there is a real hop-haa getting insurance for a new car with a plate from an old one. Sometimes the dealer moseys down to the GPO and gets a new tax disc right away.

I put my plate on retention a couple of weeks ago, the new reg document came through about a week later, the new MOT, tax disk and retention certificate two days after that along with my original documents.
