A weekend in a Caterham - where would you go?
Discussion
I'm in the fortunate position to have the use of a Caterham for a long weekend, Friday afternoon - Monday morning, with 300 miles before additional mileage charges apply. I'm collecting from Caterham in Crawley & looking to the PH collective for inspiration. If you were in my position, where would you go with your 300 (plus a few if needs be) miles?

I hired one for the weekend from a PHer who used to hire them in York - i used up my weekends mileage on the first day driving round the dales.
Went York - Thirsk - North Allerton - Richmond - along the B6270 and back along Long Shaw to take in the village that All creatures was filmed in - Marsham - York.
Tis very addictive driving a Caterham along the country lanes.

my Sunday morning route
I don't know all those roads but used to take mine that way from Winchester regularly
Then see the bank manager on Monday morning.

Stay off the motorways and just go where the roads take you. If you've not driven one before, wherever you go will be fun.
Definitely this. I was lucky enough to win one for the weekend last year. Picked up from Caterham Midlands and didn't leave Leicestershire all weekend. Took a different passenger everyday and just drove and made a decision at each junction. Found some good roads I had never driven before and some good pubs for lunch every day. Be warned you will want to buy one by the end of the weekend. Personal circumstances mean I have to wait until next year to get one but I have another weekend hire booked for the end of this month. Can't wait.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
