Have been offered a GT-R for 1week. My thoughts..
Discussion
In a nutshell. The car is BRUTAL.
Too much power for day to day use. It would be used primarily for work commute and the odd trip here and there.
Interior seems a bit 'low rent' (awaiting flames) compared to my ancient E46 M3 and my RS4.
But what a masterpiece, the engine, the noise, the feeling, the sense of occasion. Also parking it in Birmingham city center seems a bit nerve wracking. Its a long and wide car, when reversing in the work carpark the rear camera seemed decieving. Or maybe that was me worrying I would graze the car.
Would I get rid of the M3? (Probably not - awaiting more flames). Its only been the first day with it, I'm sure I will grow to love it.
I felt that my RS4 could not be replaced, and I was wrong.
On a sidenote, the car is supremely comfortable, but the interior magically shrinks around you it seems. I admit I am a fat b
d, but it does seems a tad cozy!

Also +1 the sentiment that having more power is never a bad thing unless it's at the point where it's completely impractical to drive it normally (e.g. on/off switch style triple plate clutches, etc)

It's the sort of car that if you own, you wouldnt be silly for doig a trackday once a year even just to nail it with the throttles wide open before keeping out wide and gently rolling through corners, out of everyone esles way....call it part of regular maintainence
Not sure I understand your point? GT-R drivers are fast on the straights and wimpy on the corners?Durzel said:

Agree you can never have too much power and it doesn't matter what car you own you soon get used to it and I would imagine that's why there are so many tuned R35 GTR`s out there as the owners soon wanted more.
