He just seems like an organ donor in waiting. Cutting between cars is bad enough, but how did he not anticipate those HGVs?

I believe he could've fit through the gap but strangely decided to veer into the lorry on the left.

Just about straight away I saw those lorries in the distance. That's what staring two feet in front of your front wheel does to you.

And the problem with riding like that is you leave behind a trail of witnesses only too happy to inform the police when they turn up that you were riding like a dick.

Old, but good. There were 3 escape routes there, he went for one of them and could have made it, but didn't. Also, though he doesn't seem to realise the situation he is in, he has loads of time to brake, but doesn't seem to do much more than feather the brakes at best.

He doesn't brake hard because the world revolves around him and those pesky HGV's should have parted to let his ego through.
