Someone Used Bathroom Cleaner On My Car- Long Term Damage

Long Story But:
Decorating Contractor Doing some work for the managing agent on the communal areas of the property I live in accidently splashed a few pinhead sized spots of White Emulsion Paint on my car.
Contractor admitted this, claimed to know how to clean it off appropriately and offered to clean it - which I accepted (Mistake No 1 !).
My wife called me on Wednesday to say she'd came home to find a decorator cleaning my car using Flash Bathroom Cleaner. She told him to step away and not touch the car again.
I came home and the car (6 months old and prior to this immaculate) looked terrible. Smearing to all paintwork and glass severe enough that I couldn't see clearly throug the windscreen. Ominous circular marks to chrome trim that you could both see and feel with a fingertip. I wanted to cry.
I did some research on the product they used - it's an abbrasive cleaner containing a mild concentration of citric and sulphuric acid to dissolve limescale. Now I really wanted to cry.

Discussed this with the decoratoring company's management and they agreed to get a car valet firm in. Valet firm spent yesterday working on the car. It looks much better but has still some of these raised circular marks to chrome and paint evident on very close inspection. Valet guy coming back on Monday to work on car some more - he says he can improve it but it won't be perfect.
3 quesions:
- The car looks ok. But is there likely to be any long term damage that will become appratent in coming days/months/years from having used an abbrasive, acid cleaner on the paint/glass/chrome ?
- What retribution/reassurances against as yet unapparent damage would it be reasonable be seek from the decorating comapny ? It's a large well known firm that works on large commercial contracts and is presumably properly insured, so its not like I'm trying to clean out a sole trader.
- What would you do (I've already considered violence and self harm) ?
