Quick windscreen question

In certain cars, in the bottom right hand corner of the screen there is a clip. What's it for?

To cover up the mounting point for the clip.


Some say it's for slotting in your car park ticket, but I don't believe them.

Right hand side is clip,
left hand side no clip.
