Dvla explanation

Just wondering if anyone knows the rationale behind the dvla pricing.
Eg why is G1NRX £999 but H1NRX is £499 and F1NRX is £1,299

How come some prefix's are double the price of others???

G1N and F1N could be shorts of Gina and Finley, H1N isnt a short.
Also "F1" always carrys a premium for some reason

If your name is Gina, thats a cheap plate "G1NR X" (note illegal spacing a probably attached to a RRS in cheshire)

Maybe it's the fact some prefixes are more popular on other plates, so they charge higher.

Only K P R and S are £499, the others are £999 or F for £1,299!!
