Endsleigh insurance - cancellation
Discussion
Evening all,
After my current insurers want an increase of £100 to £900 to renew my policy, Endsleigh are looking good at £450 for the same cover.
But... I'll definitely be changing the car in the next year, may even be going car-less...
Has anyone had experience with them when it comes to mid term cancellation? Likely to be bent over?
Thanks

Chances are they're about the same as the company you're with now (boring as it is, read the Terms of Business, it will lay out how much they charge and retain when cancelling, making a change, etc.)After my current insurers want an increase of £100 to £900 to renew my policy, Endsleigh are looking good at £450 for the same cover.

If Endsleigh are half the premium, they probably still won't retain more than your existing company will retain (it's all percentages).
I had big problems with them earlier in the year when I changed car as they refused to offer me cover on any kind of hot hatchback. Luckily I was still within the 14 day window so I cancelled the policy for a refund and went back to Admiral. Sounds like you might end up in the same situation so I'd advise giving them a miss. See http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Recently just changed from them as they weren't competitive for my new car.
Apart from being very limited as to what cars they will and won't insure I found them very good and friendly to deal with.
I'd suggest doing two quotes with them, one for your current car and one for your new car. If your new car isn't insurable or a competitive price with Endsleigh I'd suggest looking else where.

I have changed vehicle mid term with them and they were very competitive , however check the details like windscreen cover as they use some naughty tricks to get the premium down After my current insurers want an increase of £100 to £900 to renew my policy, Endsleigh are looking good at £450 for the same cover.
