Volvo C30 1.6 R Design vs Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport

I have a friend that is choosing a car and getting all confused... The choice at the moment seems to be C30 1.6 R Design 2009 or Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport 2011. Personally i would go C30, it's a far better spec and cheaper.

He has zero interest in cars.

What are servicing/running costs like on these two options?

c30 as long as he doesn't need a boot, the c30's is tiny
