2001 plate suzki swift gls

Hi, sorry to ask a similar question to one I have before, but I've found this site great for advice on cars, for someone who doesn't no a great deal at the moment. Is the crash protection on a 2001 plate suzki swift gls. A lot inferior to other cars of a similar age. Thanks for any info.

Not heard of a suzki.. But on a suzuki swift I don't think it was very good. Outdated design when competitors had moved on regarding crash protection.

I mentioned the lack of air bags but wondered if the rest of the car was so far behind on crash protection

As has been said in every other post you've made, the car you want for your requirements is the K11 Nissan Micra.


If you're going to ignore everyone's advice over and over again and keep asking about the Swift then just go get the Swift lol.

How often/hard do you intend to crash it?

It's just there's one for sale down the road. I don't intent to crash it. But as happened with my other car someone ran in to the back of me at some traffic lights.

I'm not sure 'For sale down the road' should be your first criteria for choosing a car (unless you know the owner/history).

For your budget buy an old Saab or Volvo if you are worried about crash protection, all the old cheap small cars are as bad as each other (except the Polo).

Purely a guess but I'd imagine that as they're both near-as-dammit 20 year old designs they're both likely to offer pretty poor crash protection compared to a modern supermini.

It's a small, old, car.

It'll be cheap because of this.

If you want a car with good safety measures built in buy a bigger/more modern car.
