Hello,

My supercharged Prelude is finally driveable again and I am in need of advice on the cheapest way to insure two cars. Previously I just garaged one car and swapped the insurance over, however now I would like the convenience of being able to use both when I like.

Unfortunately as my no claims is on the BMW the prelude insurance has gone up by almost 50% despite only insuring it for 1/3rd the miles and removing business use.

What would you guys recommend I do with the following vehicles to get the best price possible:

1996 Honda Prelude (import), k20 engine, supercharged lots of mods etc. Old price £550 FC inc business, 10k miles etc, new price without ncb £710 3k miles, no business.

2007 BMW e92 330d - completely standard, £450 FC, 10k miles, business use etc.

I think its a bit of a cheek to charge more for less useage etc, so would a multi car policy be my best bet? Problem is I had a tough time finding anybody that would insure the prelude in the first place, issues being that its an import and heavily modified.

What would you guys recommend?

Thanks!

£710 with no NCD available seems exceptionally reasonable to me ......

Mileage / use etc are secondary to car / driver / discount elements of the premium calculation.
